I qualified and worked as a graphic designer, before I decided to be a “stay at home mum”. This is when I started playing around with slate (about 2001) and I came up with a lot of today's designs.  These were made for gifts for family and friends over many years. In 2012 I made the decision to sell the stock that had accumulated over those years, at a local craft event. I loved it so much I caught the bug for selling my slate work.

All my work is done by myself, in a small studio at home.  My basic material is slate roof tiles which are all hand crafted with hand tools, this makes each piece individual with a rustic edge.

My hand crafted slate items include table ware, unique kitchen and home novelty decorations and bespoke art work.

With slate there is a natural unknown and makes wonderful place-mats and coasters, though I would not recommend them for sizzling hot pans as they can crack with excessive heat. Normal warmed plates and serving dishes are fine.

All of my products have been sealed, (unless it is one of the blackboards) so are fine to wipe clean with a warm soapy cloth.

All the slate products that are designed to be in contact with food have been sealed with a food safe sealant.

Place-mats, coasters, cheese boards and platters all have buffer feet to protect your table.
